Whiteboards & Display Boards — Expert Answer
What causes whiteboard ghosting and how can I prevent it?
Ghosting happens when dry-erase ink partially absorbs into a porous or degraded writing surface, leaving a faint shadow after erasing. It’s most common on melamine boards, especially as the surface ages. Prevent it by erasing promptly after meetings (don’t leave writing on the board for days), using only quality dry-erase markers, and cleaning the board surface weekly with a whiteboard spray.
